The United Way of Indiana County wrapped up its 2022-2023 fundraising campaign at the Indiana Junior High School this morning.
The goal for the campaign was $622,222.22, and that goal was easily surpassed with a final total of $705,614.57. Co-Chair Amanda Hilliard said that the key to the campaign’s success was just the initiative that everyone with the United Way had, including her co-chair Chris Adams.
Along with recognizing businesses and other organizations for their help in surpassing the goal, the United Way also recognized the Indiana Junior High Student Council with their “Great Leaders” award for their support over the last two campaigns. Hilliard said that another goal with this year was to encourage the younger generation to help their communities.
The United Way’s annual campaign raises funds so that the agency can help its 14 partner agencies.
