Senator John Fetterman’s office issued an update on his condition last night.
A statement from his office said that Fetterman had undergone an MRI and other tests and those tests ruled out a stroke, but he was still being monitored for any signs of seizure. No signs of a seizure were reported. Fetterman felt lightheaded during a Democratic Senate retreat on Wednesday and was rushed to George Washington University Hospital. There were no signs of Fetterman having suffered a second stroke after his first stroke was suffered last year during his U.S. Senate Campaign. Since that stroke, he has had a pacemaker and defibrillator implanted in his body before returning to the campaign trail. Since then, he still has had some auditory issues, and uses a closed captioning system while on the floor of the senate.
There is no word yet on when Fetterman will be released from the hospital.
