A longtime White Township Supervisor has announced his candidacy for re-election.
George Lenz announced in a news release that he will run for re-election on the Board of Supervisors, in which he has served for more than 46 years as board chair, and as a member of the White Township Planning Commission, which he helped create.
In his time with White Township, Lenz helped lead several initiatives. He utilized skills learned as the Federal and State Liaison Officer for ARIN Intermediate Unit to create the White Township Recreation Complex, and he is currently in the process of bringing in $40,000 in athletic equipment that can be used by youth and senior members of the community.
Lenz cited the need for new jobs and balancing the natural beauty of the township, recreational needs for residents, and the need for good roads were the main reasons for his candidacy.
