On Monday, 118 volunteers decorated the ballrooms at the Hilton Garden Inn for the United Way of Indiana County’s annual Soup-er Bowl Fundraiser, and the grand winner was revealed.
In total, 1,361 bowls of soup were sold throughout the fundraiser. Between soup sales and $1,108 in monetary donations, the Soup-er Bowl raised a total of $11,972.
The United Way also reported that 194 people ordered during the fundraiser and 63 deliveries were made to local businesses and homes.
CH Fields Craft Kitchen’s Beer Cheese and Pretzel Crouton soup took home first place and was crowned Soup-er Bowl Champion for the third year in a row, after it sold approximately 400 bowls. In second place was the Baja Chicken Enchilada soup from 9th Street Deli, and Romeo’s Chicken Noodle Soup finished in third place.
