A Loyalhanna man was arrested and charged with burglary following an incident this morning in Burrell Township.
According to a news release, state police were dispatched to Cornell Road around 9:29 a.m. for a reported burglary in which someone attempted to steal copper wiring from a coal tipple and later fled on foot. Troopers noticed footprints in the snow and followed them to nearby railroad tracks and a wooded area.
Upon arrival, troopers found the suspect, later identified as 27-year-old Gage Evan Eaglehouse, and arrested him without incident.
Eaglehouse was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Robert Bell, Sr., on felony charges of burglary and criminal mischief, along with misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and possessing instruments of crime.
He was lodged in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 8th at 11:15 a.m.
State police were assisted by members of the Blairsville Police Department.
