Three more Indiana County fire departments revealed their 2022 statistics.
Blairsville Fire Department announced their statistics this afternoon in a Facebook post. Last year, crews responded to 337 calls. Officials say 70 percent of those calls were to provide aid to neighboring departments, while they received aid 22 percent of the time.
When broken down, 103 rescue/EMS calls were reported, along with 48 reported fires, 29 Hazmat responses, and one reported explosion.
Also reporting statistics were the Creekside and Commodore fire departments.
Commodore fire crews say 146 total incidents were handled over the year, marking 2022 as their second busiest year in history. Of all calls, 17 were for residential structure fires, 15 were for utility lines down, and 14 were for reported brush fires.
Jim Hopkins III led Commodore firefighters with 119 incidents responded to. Mark Riva followed with 100 incidents covered.
Creekside fire crews responded to 99 total calls for service. Of those calls, 28 were in Washington Township, 17 were in Rayne Township, and nine were in White Township. A total of 22 fire calls were handled by fire crews. Of those, 11 were residential, eight were commercial and three were vehicle fires.
Cory and Cody Hitchings topped individual responses with 68 and 66, respectively. Jason Bazala followed with 62 incidents covered.
A total of four Indiana County fire departments have announced statistics for 2022.
