As we enter the New Year, the national and statewide gas price averages are going up.
Across the United States is $3.19 a gallon, up $0.10 from last week. However it is 30 cents lower than last month, and 9 cents below last year’s average.
Pennsylvania’s average this morning is $3.62, up two cents from last week but down 32 cents from last month. It is 10 cents higher than last year at this time.
Indiana County’s average continues to drop. AAA reports that this week’s average is $3.74, a drop of two cents from last week. That ties it with Cambria County. The lowest average in the region is Jefferson at $3.62. Westmoreland and Clearfield counties are at $3.73 while Armstrong County is the highest in the region at $3.75.
Gas prices in Indiana, Clymer and Homer City are at $3.75 a gallon. Prices in Blairsville range from $3.69 to $3.75.
