Efforts to help two people in Washington Township displaced by a fire are underway.
The fire was first reported at 12:59 p.m. on Monday on pine hollow Road in Washington Township. Six fire departments along with the RIT team and citizens ambulance work dispatched at the time. The fire started it with a heater in a back bedroom, and the fire completely destroyed the single wide mobile home. Since then, the Overlys who lived in the mobile home, have received assistance from the American Red Cross.
The Overly’s landlord, SJ Bills, has started an effort to try to get clothes and shoes for the couple. Sizes needed include:
- Women’s xs shirts and 00 in pants, 3-4 kids or 5-6 adults shoes
- Men’s medium or large shirts. 30/32 pants and size 10 shoes
Anyone with questions can also call Bills at 724-549-8486. That number can also be used to set up a drop off of donated items.
