The Indiana County commissioners adopted the 2023 budget during Wednesday morning’s meeting.
The budget remained virtually unchanged from what was approved in November, with expenditures at $49,453,760 and income at $43,485,968. The county will hold the line on real estate taxes at 4.905 Mills. Lisa Gregersen presented the budget to the commissioners, and talked about how difficult it was to put together this spending plan.
In other business, the commissioners passed a resolution to take part in the America 250 PA initiative. The resolution authorizes the establishment of a countywide commission to work with America 250 PA on any and all activities within the county.
