Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate held steady for November.
In a news release from the PA Department of Labor and Industry, the unemployment rate for November remained at 4.0%, which is still a record low for the state. It is 1.5 percentage points lower than last November. The national unemployment rate also held steady at 3.7%
The state’s civilian labor force, which is the estimated number of residents working or looking for work, was down 5,000 over the month. The total number of non-farm jobs in the state was up 10,400 jobs over the month to 6,021,800. Jobs increased in nine of the 11 industry super sectors, with the biggest moves seen in the “other services” sector with a jump of 4100 jobs.
Local numbers for November are due later this month.
