The United school board met Tuesday night, and approved a resolution concerning taxes for the next school year.
According to the resolution, the board will not raise taxes above the limit mandated by the Pennsylvania department of education, which for the United school district is 5.9% or roughly $70 to $75 for the average taxpayer. Hunter Overdorff said that this resolution will not force the district to raise taxes at all.
In other business, the board approved and after school tutoring program for both the high school and elementary students offering tutoring for English and math.
