Plea Court hearings are scheduled today for Indiana county Court, including two for a Penn Run man charged it with incidents that happened within months of each other in 2021.
50 year old Christopher Shawn Yoder is scheduled to go before Judge Gina Force today for the plea hearings. In a case from April of 2021, he is charged with possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and other summary driving offenses for an incident on April 18th. Indiana Borough Police stopped a car that he was in in the 200 block of Philadelphia Street, and found that he along with Kasey Roy of Indiana were in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The second case was from June of 2021, where he was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and summary harassment.
Also due for multiple plea Court hearings, is James E. Emerson, a 51-year-old Indiana man. In one case from April of 2020, he was charged with failure to verify his address or be photographed per Megan’s Law requirements. He was also charged in July of that year, he was charged with flight to avoid apprehension, accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, driving on a suspended license, and failure to stop and give aid. He had pleaded guilty to flight to avoid apprehension, but in October of 2021, he withdrew that plea. He also faces drug-related charges along with providing a false ID to law enforcement for a case from October of 2020.
