On Tuesday night, Homer City Borough council approved advertising the 2023 budget.
Borough manager Robert Nymick said that a lot of work went into the budget, and he said the budget was delayed because of uncertainties with some of the numbers that they needed.
The proposed budget comes to $680,150 and it would include a 0.792 Mill tax increase. It would be an average increase of $70 a year for property taxes. Borough council will hold a special meeting later this month to approve the budget.
