As school districts prepare for the next calendar year, many of them will hold reorganization meetings this month. The first of these meetings is scheduled for tonight for the Homer-Center School Board.
The board will elect a new board president and vice president to start the meeting off. That will be followed by a vote on the meeting schedule for the next six months. The board is proposing keeping the planning meeting at the first Thursday of the month, and the regular voting meeting on the third Thursday at 7:30 for both public sessions, with a half-hour before the meetings set aside for executive sessions. The board will also consider two options for the schedule for the committee meetings.
After the reorganization meeting, the board will hold its regularly scheduled planning meeting. The meeting starts at 7:30 tonight at the district board room.
