At least one person had to be extricated from a vehicle that crashed on Route 422 in Cherryhill Township yesterday.
Indiana County 911 reported that Cherryhill Township Firefighters, State Police and Citizen’s Ambulance were dispatched at 4:38 PM on Tuesday on Route 422 East. Fire officials say that a vehicle went over an embankment near the former Eastern Orthodox Foundation headquarters near Penn Run on 422. Crews had to remove the front and rear driver’s side doors to gain access to the vehicle.
Guide wires for some nearby utility poles were also down at the time. Route 422 was shut down temporarily while rescue personnel worked on scene. At least one person was taken to the hospital for treatment. Their condition and identity were not released.
