The Salvation Army is getting ready for the start of its annual Red Kettle campaign.
The traditional kickoff breakfast and auction will be held at the KCAC at 7:00 AM Tuesday. So far, about 250 people have registered for the breakfast, and people can continue to register for the event with a suggested donation of $15.
Candace Flanders with the Salvation Army says that the annual kickoff breakfast has grown over the last few years.
The Red Kettles will be going out soon, with Red Kettles set up at 4th Street BiLo, the Walmart locationss in Indiana and Blairsville, Downtown Indiana, Ideal Market in Homer City, The Indiana Mall and the Giant Eagle in Indiana.
The goal for this year is to collect $70,000, excluding the money raised by the kickoff breakfast.
