PennDOT says there will be lane restrictions and possible delays on Oakland Avenue in White Township on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Workers will be painting lines along the roadway from the Route 422 interchange to Rustic Lodge Road. In addition, the current traffic barriers will be adjusted to straighten out and move the travel lanes to the center of the road while maintaining three lanes.
The work is dependent on the weather. The restrictions will be from 6 AM to 6 PM each day.
The $19.83 million Route 286/Route 422 widening and resurfacing project also includes replacement of the bridge over McCarthy Run and the installation of sidewalks along Oakland Avenue. It’s targeted for completion in December of next year.
