The Steelers yesterday activated safety Damontae Kazee from injured reserve and placed kicker Chris Boswell on IR for an injured groin. Boswell will have to miss at least four games. Newly-signed Matt Wright will replace Boswell.
The team did not activate linebacker TJ Watt, who is practicing again and is eligible to come off injured reserve. They have until 4 PM tomorrow to activate Watt if he is to play Sunday against New Orleans. Defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi was upgraded to a limited practice participant after sitting out on Wednesday.
