Today is election day, and this year’s general election is expected to be the most-watched mid-term election in recent history.
On the ballots in Indiana County are several state-wide and federal races including:
– The U.S. Senator’s race between Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz, Democrat Lt. Governor John Fetterman, Libertarian Erik Gearhardt, Richard Weiss of the Green Party and Daniel Wassmer of the Keystone party
– The Governor’s race includes Democrat Josh Shapiro, Republican Doug Mastriano, Libertarian Matt Hackenburg, Christina DiGiulio for the Green Party and Joe Soloski for the Keystone party
– Some U.S. House seats are also up for grabs. In the 12th district, Guy Reschenthaler is running unopposed. In the 15th district, it’s Glenn “GT” Thompson against Mike Molesevich
– State house seats are also on the ballot for this election. In the 62nd District, it’s Jim Struzzi running against Brian Doyle, while Brian Smith runs unopposed in the 66th district
Polls open at 7:00 and will remain open until 8:00 tonight.
