A popular Indiana County restaurant announced that it will close its doors later this year.
Officials with Roseann’s Everyday Gourmet along Oakland Ave. announced this afternoon that the restaurant will permanently close this December, citing various challenges as the reason for its closure. One of them, according to Cindy Lubold Duffalo, was the “cumulative daily challenges of operating a small family business in today’s environment.”
Lubold Duffalo adds that she feels on-going construction has not affected the store, but rather rising cost in products made it difficult for customers to buy their products.
Roseann Lubold, the figurehead behind the store’s name, opened the restaurant in 1985 in an effort to provide convenient and high-quality meals for those who could not or did not have time to cook. In addition to her approach for convenience, Roseann expressed creativity through her cooking by accommodating special requests for her customers. This work ethic allowed years of success across Indiana County.
Roseann’s employed 22 total employees — six full-time and 16 part time.
The Lubold family said they will miss serving the community, and they thanked the public, along with former and current staff members, saying lifetime friendships “have been forged with customers, employees, and suppliers.”
Roseann’s will officially close its doors Friday, December 9th. As of now, there are no immediate plans for the store building.
