Indiana Borough Police have released an update on a reported stabbing that happened on Wednesday.
Police initially said they were dispatched to a home in the 400 block of Church Street, and police found an adult man, who was not named in the report, was stabbed in the rear upper torso area with a folding pocketknife possessed by a juvenile.
Police now say that a 15-year-old boy was referred to Indiana County’s Juvenile Probation Department related to offenses from the assault. The assault happened during an emotional verbal argument between the two individuals. Police now consider the investigation closed. Along with the Juvenile Probation Department, police were assisted on scene by members of the District Attorney’s office.
The suspect’s name will not be released due to his age.
