An Indiana School received a top honor today from the organization behind their socio-emotional program.

At a ceremony earlier today, the Ben Franklin Elementary School was named a model school for the PATHS SEL-W program, which promotes education concerning handling emotions to lead to improved student behavior, less classroom disruptions and greater academic achievement. Dr. Mark Greenburg, who presented the award to the school, talked about what made Ben Franklin a model school.
Superintendent Michael Vuckovich talked about receiving the award on behalf of the school.
Students at the school also got a chance to meet Twiggle, one of the mascots of the program, and famed book character Pete The Cat as part of today’s celebration.
