On Wednesday night, the Penns Manor School Board approved the district’s participation in a local advisory committee for career and technical program advisement.
The committee is being offered by the Indiana County Technology Center. Superintendent Daren Johnston explains the reason for the district taking part in the committee.
After the meeting, the board met in executive session to talk about the ongoing negotiations between the district at the PMEA. Johnston said the next negotiation meeting involving both sides is October 18th. Johnston said that he feels negotiations are “moving along” in his words. The teachers’ contract expired on July 31st, 2022.
