DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Indiana Borough Police cited two men following an incident within the borough over the weekend.
Reports say officers were dispatched to the Sheetz at the point along Wayne Avenue around 2:25 Saturday morning for two men fighting at the store. Upon arrival, they found that 20-year-old Antonio Clinkscales of Pittsburgh and 20-year-old Edward Dwyer of Freedom had engaged in a mutual fight in the store’s parking lot. Officers say Dwyer was found to be under the influence of alcohol to a degree where he was a danger to himself and others.
Dwyer was transported to IRMC for evaluations and he was later cited for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and underage drinking. Clinkscales was cited for disorderly conduct. Both were cited through Magisterial Judge Guy Haberl’s office.
DRUGS
Indiana Borough Police arrested a New Kensington man following a traffic stop on October 1st.
Officers conducted the stop around 9:30 p.m. near the area of 768 Wayne Avenue and identified the passenger as 23-year-old Gewaun Phillips who had multiple active arrest warrants. During his arrest, Phillips was found to be in possession of cocaine. He was lodged in Indiana County Jail for the arrest warrants and a charge of possession of a controlled substance was filed through Judge Haberl’s office.
A Pittsburgh man was charged for drug-related crimes following a traffic stop on September 30th.
Indiana Borough Police say they conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of School Street around 4:30 p.m. and found the driver, identified as 21-year-old Cameron T. Brown of Pittsburgh did not have a valid drivers license and was found to be in possession of marijuana.
Brown was charged with possession of marijuana, along with multiple traffic offenses, through Judge Haberl’s office.
