At the Clymer Borough Council meeting Wednesday night, Indiana County Commissioner Mike Keith presented the council members with $32,500 in county American Rescue Plan funds.
Council President Louis Tate said that the money will be used for repairs on some large catch basins in the borough, and that will be a great help for flood mitigation in the borough.
The borough has also committed $35,000 in borough ARP funding, and must come up with another $32,500 to match.
On a related note, the borough council authorized the advertisement of ordinance 371, which leases the Storm Water Management System to Clymer Borough Municipal Authority. The borough also announced that Trick or Treating will be held on October 30th, with a Halloween Parade at 1:30. Participants are asked to gather at Morris and 6th Street at 1:00 PM. Trick or Treating will then be held after the parade from 2-4. People are asked to put their porch lights on if they are participating in Trick or Treat. There will also be a Trunk or Treat at the fire hall parking lot during Trick or Treat hours.
