One of two men charged in connection with a deliberately set fire will be in court today for a status conference.
Court documents show that Daniel Scott Heitzenrater of Glen Campbell was one of two individuals charged with arson-related crimes connected with an incident on December 1st. He faces one count each of criminal mischief-damaging property, recklessly burning another person, and reckless burning or exploding. He had been charged with two counts of arson, but one count was changed and the other was withdrawn, along with a charge of burglary.
A criminal call hearing is scheduled for early October.
Also in Indiana County Court today, a plea court hearing will be held for David Charles Rickard, currently serving time at SCI-Dallas in Luzerne County. He is charged with aggravated harassment and assault for an incident while he was incarcerated for an incident on January 22nd of last year.
