Several sentencing hearings are scheduled today for Indiana County Court. One of those will be for a man charged with multiple counts for an incident on February 20th of this year.
Court documents show that 37-year-old Bryan Daniel Henry of Indiana was charged with two counts of simple assault, three counts each of terroristic threats, harassment and criminal mischief, and single counts of resisting arrest, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct. The guilty pleas were entered on August 5th.
Also among those to be sentenced today is a Pittsburgh man who is accused of leading police on a chase on a 15-mile chase. John Robert Cottrell, 25, pleaded guilty to a single count of fleeing or attempting to elude police after being clocked going 98 miles an hour in a 55 mile an hour zone on Route 22 near Bowser Road in East Wheatfield Township. Cottrell tried to flee police, sometimes going as fast as 120 miles an hour, swerving in and out of traffic as he went onto Cramer Pike before giving up near Locust Street. Twenty eight other summary traffic offenses were not prosecuted.
Another person due for sentencing is 22-year-old Patrick Allen Spiers of DuBois, who pleaded guilty to simple assault and reckless endangerment for an incident in August of last year. Charges of aggravated assault and harassment were not prosecuted.
