The United School Board will meet tonight and on the agenda are several security-related hirings.
The board will look to hire Steven Colo, Thomas Carrick, David Okopal, Brian Pyo and William Ray at a cost of $21 an hour for the 2022-2023 school year. The board will also look at authorizations to allow each of the five guards to carry a firearm on school property. All five individuals were State Troopers and each were separated from service in good standing.
The board will also look to hire Timothy Thomas and Tammy Snyder as custodians for the district, and Bettina Fritz as elementary secretary. The board will also look to adopt a revised board policy concerning the organization chart, and first readings on several policies ranging from threat assessment to food services.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 7:30 at the District Board Room.
