For the first time in a few months, the gas price averages for the nation and state hold relatively steady.
The national average this morning is $3.71 a gallon, according to triple A. While there is a slight decrease in the price, the difference is less than a penny. It’s still a seven-cent drop from last week and a 26-cent drop from last month. The average last year at this time was $3.17.
Pennsylvania’s average this morning is $3.92 a gallon, also a decrease of less than one cent over the last 24 hours, seven cents over the last week and a 39-cent drop from last month. Last year, Pennsylvania’s average was $3.29 a gallon.
Indiana County’s average continues to fall to $3.96 a gallon, which is one of the highest in the region. Jefferson County’s rate is the lowest at $3.84. Next highest was Clearfield at $3.92, then Westmoreland at $3.94. Indiana was next, then Cambria at $3.98. Armstrong county’s average is still the highest at $4.02.
Gas prices in Indiana are at $3.99, while Homer City’s prices are two cents cheaper. Blairsville’s prices are $3.95 while Clymer’s prices are around $3.89.
