Gas price averages for Pennsylvania are now under $4 a gallon, but Indiana County’s average remains above it.
Pennsylvania’s average dipped below the $4 a gallon average on Monday as it went to $3.99. This morning, the average dipped another penny to $3.98. The average is now 14 cents lower than last week, and 42 cents lower than last month. Last year, Pennsylvania’s Average was $3.29.
Indiana County’s average as of this morning is $4.01. Gas prices range in Indiana County from $3.99 to $4.14 a gallon, keeping the county’s average above the $4 mark for now. Jefferson County’s average remains the lowest in the region at $3.94, with Westmoreland the next highest at $3.96, then Clearfield at $3.98. Indiana was next highest, then Cambria at $4.02 and Armstrong at $4.03.
The national average also continues to go down with an average today of $3.77. That is a penny lower than yesterday, seven cents lower than last week and 31 cents down from last month. Last year’s national average was $3.18 a gallon.
