State police have announced some details of another investigation into the manufacture of methamphetamine, this time in Center Township.
Police say they were notified on August 24th about a suspected operation at 1912 Route 56 East between Waterman and Brush Valley. When they arrived at 11:37 AM, police discovered a man, identified only as a 57-year-old from Homer City, was actively preparing to “cook” meth using the “one-pot” method. When police searched the building, they discovered two one-pot vessels along with materials to produce meth along with some meth that had finished cooking. The State Police Clandestine Laboratory Response Team was called in to inventory and collect the contraband.
Charges are expected to be filed pending the completion of the investigation.
This marks the second meth production investigation in as many days, as one day before, troopers and the Clandestine Laboratory Response Team were at a location on North 4th Avenue in Chevy Chase for another investigation. Three suspects could face charges in that investigation.
