A student from IUP’s Doctoral Program in Nursing has been awarded a national scholarship.
Laurie Connors, a student in IUP’s nursing program, will receive the 2022 National League for Nursing Education Scholarship, and will be recognized at the league’s annual summit on September 29th. Along with this scholarship, Conners has received the Oncology Nursing Foundation Research Doctoral Degree Academic Scholarship earlier this year and in 2021, she was the recipient of the Rising Star of Research and Scholarship Award from Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Connors is currently a full professor at Vanderbuilt University in Nashville, but is expected to enter her dissertation phase this fall.
