The school buses are rolling today for students in three Indiana County-based district, with the other four scheduled to start tomorrow.
Indiana Area, Purchase Line, and United all start classes today. Homer-Center, Marion Center, Penns Manor, and River Valley all start tomorrow.
In a letter published on the district’s website, Purchase Line superintendent Shawn Ford highlights several changes, including a new water system at the high school which he hopes will solve the problems of the past, and a new track at the football stadium. He also says the district is still filling some staff vacancies, and reminds parents about Purchase Line’s covid-19 policy.
River Valley’s school board meets tonight, with an agenda that includes numerous personnel decisions, a review of the superintendent’s performance goals, and action on the district’s Comprehensive Plan, the STEAM Academy, and district policies.
