No injuries were reported in a rear-end collision in Rayne Township yesterday. The crash was reported on Route 119 south near Wrigden Run Road at 8:26 AM. Police say that 36-year-old Timberley Love of Punxsutawney was waiting to pull into Shadco when her vehicle was rear-ended by a truck driven by 26-year-old Stephanie Trozzo of Latrobe. Trozzo’s Chevy Tahoe took on disabling front end damage and the airbag was deployed. The impact pushed Love’s Nissan Rogue about 30 feet down the road. Her vehicle took on significant damage to the rear. Trozzo was cited by state police for following too closely.
One person suffered minor injuries in a crash that was reported last Thursday at White Township. Police say the crash happened on Route 422 just east of South Sixth Street when 46-year-old Stacy Crook of Northern Cambria was trying to avoid hitting a bear with her vehicle, but she struck the bear anyway, causing disabling damage to her pickup truck. No charges have been filed yet.
