State police have issued reports on two accidents last week involving motorists from Homer City.
The first crash happened August 1st at around 7:30 PM on Bracken Road near River Road in Buffington Township. Police say 24-year-old Shawn Smith of Homer City suffered suspected serious injuries when his motorcycle struck a deer.
Smith was wearing his motorcycle helmet but suffered unspecified injuries.
The second crash occurred on August 3rd at 7:05 in the morning on Route 403, again in Buffington Township.
Police say a 16-year-old Homer City boy, whose identity was not released, lost control of his southbound vehicle and struck a utility pole. Neither the driver nor his passenger, a 16-year-old boy from Vintondale, was injured.
