Just as the Indiana and Purchase Line school boards last night worked on issues pertaining to the start of the school year, the United board will meet tonight for the same purpose.
Among the agenda items for the United school directors are a number of personnel items, including the hiring of substitute teachers, teachers at the United elementary and high school cyber academies, supplemental and extra-duty faculty positions, coaches for winter and spring sports, and a number of support personnel.
The board will also consider approval of bus and van routes and drivers, agreements with several supplemental education agencies, a contract with Novacare Rehabilitation for athletic trainer services, approval of booster and support groups, and an agreement that Blacklick Valley trainers and team physicians to treat United athletes when called upon for the combined football teams of the two schools, which will compete under the United banner.
The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
