UPDATE: The Steelers have moved today’s practice to Memorial Stadium in Latrobe. The fields at Saint Vincent are still too wet to play upon. The practice will be at 1:55 PM and the public may attend without having an e-ticket.
The Steelers will be back on the practice field at Saint Vincent College today after moving practice to their UPMC Rooney Sports Complex in Pittsburgh Saturday due to stormy weather.
Coach Mike Tomlin said Saturday that the team barely broke stride after the cancellation of the Friday Night Lights practice at Latrobe’s Memorial Stadium the night before.
The Steelers are scheduled for practice in pads today and tomorrow at 1:55 PM. Tomlin said he is looking forward to increasing the workload this week for some players who have been brought along slowly, mentioning specifically safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. He said the team will turn its attention to Saturday night’s preseason opener against Seattle.
Week One of the preseason will officially kick off on Thursday when the Giants visit the Patriots and the Ravens host the Titans.
