Several fire crews are tending to a transformer fire that happened early this morning.
Indiana County 911 reports crews from Saltsburg, Tunnelton and Conemaugh Township were dispatched at 4:42 this morning for a transformer fire at Breeze Industrial Products along Tunnelton Road in Saltsburg. No additional information is available at this time.
This call continued a busy 24 hours for first responders as multiple incidents were reported yesterday, including three vehicle accidents and two vehicle fires.
The first accident kicked off calls for the day as it sent Commodore fire crews to Route 580 in Green Township around 12:16 a.m. Wednesday morning. The next was reported at 2 p.m. and it sent Indiana Fire Association to an accident along Oakland Avenue in White Township.
The final crash happened around 5:21 p.m. and it sent Marion Center fire crews, Citizens’ Ambulance and state police to Pollock Road in East Mahoning Township.
Marion Center fire officials said in a Facebook post that it was a single-car crash as a driver swerved to avoid a deer. They said the car went up an embankment and the driver was trapped.
Injuries are unknown at this time.
The two vehicle fires happened between the hours of 5:30 and 9 p.m. yesterday.
The first happened at 5:38 and it sent Creekside fire crews to Kunkle Road in Washington Township. The next happened at 9 p.m. along Route 422 West in Shelocta.
No additional information is available at this time.
