A Cambridge Springs woman was sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court for charges related to endangering the welfare of children.
Court documents say that 31-year-old Brittany M. James will serve nine months to two years less than one day in Indiana County Jail for a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of children stemming from an incident on March 10, 2021.
James will also serve one year of probation. She had her plea court hearing in May.
Also sentenced yesterday was 30-year-old Ryan McManus who was charged with procuring a weapon while at SCI Pine Grove on September 21st of last year. He entered a guilty plea for that incident on May 16th. He will serve two-and-a-half to five years at Pine Grove for that incident.
And 20-year-old Damon Carter Froum of Black Lick was sentenced to serve one year of probation while paying court costs and fines for a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. This stems from an incident on July 9, 2021.
A second count of simple assault and two counts of disorderly conduct and harassment stemming from that same incident were not prosecuted.
