There is a deadline approaching for a new state program that permits special education students to remain in school an extra year. The pandemic-inspired new law provides for an extra year in school for special education students who reached the age of 21 during the 2021-22 school year or before the start of the 2022-23 school year.
Parents must submit the Act 55 of 2022 Student Enrollment Notification Form to their school district by tomorrow (Monday). Each school district has the form or you may access it by visiting the website below:
