At Wednesday’s White Township Supervisors meeting, the head of the Stewardship Committee updated the supervisors on their work and on an upcoming effort to get the public more involved.
Barb Hauge, the leader of the committee, said that things are going well, and to further their outreach effort, they want to set up a table during the Northern Appalachian Folk Festival in Downtown Indiana on September 10th. Hauge said that they want to engage the public through a map-based activity.
In other business, township manager Chris Anderson gave an update on the proposed language to be added to the dangerous structure ordinance. Anderson said that the draft language presented at the previous meeting was still being examined and they hope to have a new version of the ordinance ready for advertisement by the end of September.
