Troopers have filed charges of felony corruption of minors and misdemeanor counts of indecent assault and indecent exposure against a Blairsville man.
According to a news release, troopers charged 68-year-old William C. Rodkey in connection with incidents that happened between 2009 and 2021. Troopers started their investigation after the Troop A Criminal Investigation Unit were notified through a Child Welfare Report of possible sexual assaults against three young girls. The victims, who were 10 years old or less at the time of the incidents, were assaulted in various locations in East Wheatfield Township. The victims say that Rodkey allegedly exposed himself and/or had indecent contact with them.
Rodkey was arraigned on Wednesday in front of District Judge Robert Bell, Sr. and is now free on $50,000 unsecured bail. He is due back in front of Judge Bell for a preliminary hearing on August 10th.
State Police are continuing to investigate, and anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Mathias Schmotzer at the State Police Barracks at 724-357-1960.
