First responders had just a few calls for service on Friday.
One of those calls was for a truck fire on Five Points Road in Armstrong Township. Creekside and Elderton fire departments were dispatched along with the state police at 10:28 AM. Creekside fire officials say that a truck had caught fire and was quickly destroyed. No word yet on the exact cause of the fire, and there were no reported injuries. Officials also said that fire crews used fire suppressant foam and a dry-chemical extinguisher to put the fire out.
Crews were also called out for a vehicle accident at 3:50 PM at the intersection of Route 56 East and Route 954 in Center Township. Homer City and Brush Valley fire departments, Citizens Ambulance and State Police were dispatched at the time. No other details are available at this time.
Creekside fire department was also called into action last night as they were called in to set up a landing zone on Copper Valley Road at 11:18.
