Gas prices continue to trickle downward across the US and Pennsylvania.
The national average cost of a gallon of gas according to AAA is now $4.52 a gallon, down a penny from yesterday, 15 cents from last week and 26 cents from last month. Experts from AAA say that demand for gas continues to slide. However, the cost of crude oil has been creeping back up to $99.41 a barrel.
Pennsylvania’s average this morning is $4.67 a gallon. That’s also a drop of a penny from yesterday, but it’s an 11 cent drop from last week and a 36-cent drop from last month when gas prices on average were $5.03 a gallon.
Indiana County has the lowest gas price average in the region at $4.66 a gallon. After that, Cambria and Clearfield check in with $4.68 a gallon averages. Then it’s Jefferson County at $4.69 a gallon, Armstrong at $4.71 a gallon and Westmoreland at $4.75 a gallon. The lowest average in the state is Carbon County at $4.55 a gallon, while the highest is Clarion at $4.80 a gallon.
Indiana, Homer City and Clymer has prices listed at $4.65 a gallon today, while Blairsville has prices at $4.69 a gallon, and the highest price is in Shelocta at $4.75 a gallon, according to Gasbuddy.com.
