Gas prices continue to creep down as the cost of crude oil also decreases.
Triple A reports the national average cost of a gallon of gas this morning is $4.72 a gallon, down three cents a gallon over the last 24 hours, and down 12 cents from last week and 23 cents down from last month. Experts say that since Monday, crude oil prices continue to trickle downward, ending at $98.53 a barrel. This is countering some demand increases as demand increased from 8.92 million barrels a day to 9.41 million.
Pennsylvania’s average is now $4.82 a gallon a two-cent drop from yesterday, a 10-cent drop from last week and a 21-cent drop over the last month. Indiana County’s average is $4.85 a gallon this morning. The lowest average in the region is in Jefferson County at $4.81 a gallon. After that it’s Cambria County at $4.82 a gallon, Clearfield at $4.83 a gallon and Westmoreland at $4.89 a gallon. The highest average in our region is in Armstrong County at $4.92 a gallon.
Gasbuddy.com reports that stations in Indiana Borough and White Township are seeing prices this morning from $4.75 a gallon to $4.89 a gallon. Homer City’s price is $4.79 a gallon. Clymer’s price is ten cents higher than that at $4.89 a gallon. Prices in Blairsville range from $4.79 to $4.85 a gallon.
