Round the clock work on a paving project in White Township got underway yesterday.
Crews are working on milling and paving portions of both Ben Franklin and Warren Roads in White Township. Paving on Ben Franklin Road will go from the intersection with Philadelphia Street and West Pike down to Oakland Avenue. The Warren Road project area will go from Ben Franklin Road to Oakland Avenue. Flaggers will be out to direct traffic if needed. Temporary paint lines will be put in place and PennDOT is reminding drivers that some of the road conditions will be rough. Motorists should expect delays and use caution in the work zone.
As that paving project gets underway, a bridge will reopen in northern Indiana County. That bridge is the one carrying Route 954 over a tributary of the Little Mahoning Creek between Windows Road and McCormick Road just north of Smicksburg. The bridge has been closed for about a month while crews have worked on. Motorists may continue to experience delays as finishing work is done on the project area. Daylight flagging operations may be in effect.
