It was another busy 4th of July Weekend for state police across Pennsylvania.
Between July 1st and 4th, State Police say they investigated 649 crashes across the state. Four people were killed in four separate crashes while 170 others were injured. Troopers also made 515 arrests for driving under the influence and issued over 24,000 traffic citations. Among those tickets were 8,744 speeding tickets, 896 seatbelt citations and 294 tickets for failing to properly secure children in child safety seats.
Local statistics for the four-day travel period have not yet been released.
