On Wednesday night, the Homer-Center School Board started the process to define its goals during their monthly planning meeting.
This was the only item on the agenda for the board last night. Board president Michael Bertig said that last night was a brainstorming session for the board and the administration to set goals for the academic and buildings and grounds committees. Bertig did talk about what goals were discussed, which included implementing research-based strategies to improve English and Math scores and improve attendance at the high school level. But when it comes to buildings and grounds, Bertig said the wish list was lengthy.
These goals will be refined as further meetings are held.
