ACTING SECRETARY OF EDUCATION TO VISIT IUP THIS WEEK

IUP announced earlier today that a representative from the state Secretary of Education’s office will visit campus later this week.

Officials with the university report that Acting Secretary of Education Eric Hagarty will visit IUP this Friday, July 8 at 10 a.m. in the Blue Room of Sutton Hall. As part of his visit, Hagarty will deliver remarks and take a tour of IUP, and he will also hear from four students in the university’s Undergraduate Summer Opportunities for Applying Research, or U-SOAR, program.

Members of the media will also have the opportunity to ask Hagarty questions. More information will be released later this week.
