Indiana Borough Council will meet tonight for their regular meeting and a vehicle replacement proposal is on the agenda.
According to the proposed agenda for tonight’s meeting, the borough will discuss using immediately available ARP funds to purchase a new Ford Explorer and outfitted for use by the police department at a cost not to exceed $50,000. The purchase would be made through Tri-Star Motors through the COSTARS program for local governments.
The borough will also consider a request from the Northern Appalachian Folk Festival, Inc. to close Philadelphia Street between 5th and 6th streets and North 6th street between Philadelphia Street and Nixon Avenue from 10 AM Friday, September 9th to 10:30 PM the following day. While the event is a recurring one, council approval was requested as event organizers are seeking an expanded road closure.
The meeting will be held tonight at 7:00 PM at the borough building, and will be streamed online. The link to the meeting can be found at www.indianaboro.com
